Volvo EC380DLR Excavator digging to new depths!
Here is a video of a Volvo EC380DLR excavator working at Canterbury Aggregates North End Sand and Shingle site. The excavator is extracting sand at a depth of 7 metres below the water table.
Key contributors to providing the excavation solution and specifying the correct machine for this site were the Health and Safety requirements for the application and the production capability of the machine.
The excavator is fitted with triple grousers, 800mm wide tracks and additional counterweight to increase the stability of the machine and counteract the increased length of the arm and boom.
